Swine flu – H1N1 Virus
The World Health Organization
Here, the visuals combine video, animation and special effects as viruses in action cannot be “photographed” (at least, not for simple public campaigns).
In this work, images had to be complemented with text explanations: the « art » being in the right balance and linkage of both.
In the video, which results in a mix of real footage and 3D animations, we explain how H1n1 virus also known as swine flu is caught and how it spreads among people.
There as elements indeed, lie viruses, in this case, that can’t be filmed, therefore 3D animation becomes very helpfull
We use medical databases to download perfectly realistic 3D Models. There is a whole process of validation after each process. For instance, we first present a mood board, to decide which look and feel of our future animation.
For example, the client chooses if he wants a cartoonish look, or something more realistic. We then present all models mapped and textured, using small clips displaying the model rotating 360 around himself. position.
