This exibition was organized exclusively by Lune d’Elle for Pr. Alain Gallay, at Images de Marque, downtown art gallery. Our main task was to repair, enhance, and prepare a set of old photographies back from the 60’s, to make them look new. Some of them were damaged by sand stuck in the camera, some by Photoshp arifacts or other time deteriorating factors.
To make the show more interactive, we used 7 rollups as support for our storytelling. We organized a mix of photographs and texts into each panel, captivating the visitor’s interest by encouraging him to walk in the direction of the author’s biography timeline.
Restoring old photographs was not the only challenge. As the exhibition was going to be temporary, Lune d’Elle suggested Professor Alain Gallay the option to give the show a second life. The idea of creating a virtual tour of the exhibition was not only to allow visitors to come back whenever they wanted, but also to encourage them to buy photographs they didn’t have time to choose during the busy opening night. We created a mailing list and sent the VR link to all our visitors, reminding them they could buy the photographs, and encouraging them to do so.
